The COACHES FOR CHARITY Kickoff Classic Banquet took place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 4:00-6:00PM. The location of the banquet this year was the north gym at the University of Arizona Recreation Center.  Randy Robbins was honored at the 2018 Coaches for Charity Signature Coach Award and gave the keynote the keynote speech.

The football teams participating in this year’s COACHES FOR CHARITY Kickoff Classic included Casa Grande, Cholla, Ironwood Ridge, Marana Mountain View, Nogales, Palo Verde, Sahuaro and Vista Grande.

 

Robbins (born September 14, 1962 in Casa Grande, Arizona) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Arizona. At Arizona, he was a defensive back with twelve career interceptions. In 1982, led Pac-10 with six interceptions was 2nd Team All Pac-10 in 1983. A fourth round selection (89th overall pick) in the 1984 NFL Draft, Robbins played for the Denver Broncos for eight seasons including three Super Bowls (1984–1991) and the New England Patriots (1992). In his NFL career he recorded 8 sacks as a defensive back and 13 career interceptions.
