MLK Basketball Classic
The MLK Basketball Classic took place on Monday, January 15, 2024, at McKale Center on the University of Arizona campus. Nine basketball games were played to celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

12:00 Noon – Cholla 48, Desert View 17 – Girls
1:30 PM – Tanque Verde 77, Catalina 27 – Boys
3:00 PM – Rio Rico 71, Palo Verde 20 – Girls
4:30 PM – Cienega 78, Rincon/UHS 57 – Boys
6:00 PM – Tucson High 51, Nogales 44 – Girls
7:30 PM – Sahuaro 63, Pueblo 31 – Boys
The day included the awarding of scholarships to students and the honoring of high school staff who have demonstrated the values expressed by Dr. King.
